Paco Moreno, a native from the highlands of Ecuador, is an educator, musician, storyteller, and luthier/instrument maker.
He is committed to promoting the musical and cultural heritage of the Andes of Ecuador, Peru, and Bolivia. From an early
age Paco learned to play a wide range of wind, string, and percussion instruments used in the Andes. Later on he began to
build different kinds of instruments including guitars, charangos, panpipes, flutes, and drums using traditional techniques.
Since his arrival in the United States in 1991 Paco has worked with various groups as well as individually, performing
in various colleges and universities, concert halls, museums, schools, libraries, festivals, and special events along the
east coast of the US.
Paco who resides in Davie, Florida currently performs for children and families in Broward County. In his programs, he plays
over a dozen different wind, percussion, and string instruments, tells native South American stories and actively engages
his audience in dancing and playing musical instruments.
