Programs Offered

Educational programs, workshops, and concerts are offered.

Each program covers a wide range of musical styles from the Andes using an array of traditional wind, percussion, and string instruments. Dancer(s) in traditional dress may be included in each of the programs at an additional fee. Dancers add a colorful and dynamic dimension to the performance.

MUSIC OF THE ANDES FOR YOUNG AUDIENCES This program is for young audiences. It is interactive in nature. It includes traditional Andean music demonstrations and storytelling. The audience is invited to participate by playing instruments and dancing along. This program lasts about 45 minutes.

MUSIC OF THE ANDES CONCERT Concerts feature music from the Andes of Ecuador, Peru, and Bolivia performed using a wide variety of traditional instruments. It may include a visual presentation of Andean scenes. A concert may be performed by one or more musicians, according to your budget. This program may last up to 90 minutes.

INSTRUMENT-MAKING WORKSHOP Participants make their own instruments using materials provided. Participants will also learn about the science, history, and basic techniques used to play their instrument. This program includes a demonstration of other related Andean instruments. This program lasts about 60 minutes. (Additional materials fee will be charged.)
